Job Summary:
The Procurement Executive will play a crucial role in our procurement team, ensuring that all project requirements are met with precision and efficiency. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will manage the procurement process to secure the best prices, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate and control valid prices with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) subcontractors and suppliers.
Identify and assess new suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and quality.
Issue purchase orders (PO) for materials, detailing payment terms, specifications, delivery terms, and penalty clauses.
Send contracts to subcontractors for agreed works, ensuring all terms are clearly defined.
Collect and compare offers from multiple subcontractors to meet tender specifications and lead times.
Ensure compliance of offers with project specifications, final drawings, and quantities.
Analyze quotes for cost-effectiveness and adherence to project requirements.
Collaborate with the Procurement Manager and project teams to select suppliers and subcontractors.
Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring legal and company standards compliance.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process from order requisition to delivery.
Schedule and document deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
Record payment terms in the payment tracker and follow up on purchase orders.
Verify correct delivery of materials and completion of subcontracted works.
Prepare returns, claims, and penalties for non-compliance with orders or contracts.
Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain.
Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and technologies.
Implement innovative procurement solutions for enhanced efficiency.
Position Requirements:
‘A’ Level education or a CIPS diploma (or equivalent) is an asset.
Previous experience in a procurement environment is preferred.
Understanding of the construction industry is beneficial.
Confident, meticulous, and able to work independently within a team.
Strong interpersonal and customer-care skills.
Effective negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work calmly under pressure.
Proficiency in English (Maltese is a plus).
Computer literacy.
Valid European passport or work permit for Malta.
Clean police conduct certificate.
