Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, identifying faults, and supporting the team to ensure work meets safety and quality standards. The role involves working under the guidance of senior staff and contributing to the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

✅Assist in preparing site condition reports for electrical systems

✅Carry out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fix Work Inspection Reports (WIRs)

✅Support soft commissioning of systems and equipment

✅Test circuits and distribution boards

✅Help compile and resolve snag lists

✅Support the handover process with necessary documentation

✅Test and inspect electrical systems for proper function

✅Collaborate with electricians and report findings

✅Follow quality control procedures and company policies

✅Interpret technical drawings and assist in creating schematics

✅Assist with electrical system installations

✅Work alongside engineers and project managers to meet deadlines

✅Continuously improve technical skills through training

Requirements

✅Technical diploma or qualification in Electrical Engineering (an asset)

✅At least 1 year of relevant work experience (preferred)

✅Good understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting

✅Strong communication and problem-solving skills

✅Awareness of health and safety standards

✅Physically fit (able to lift 25kg and work in confined spaces)

✅EU passport or valid permit to work in Malta

✅Clean police conduct certificate
